There is space for more than 5,000 vehicles at Bangkok International Airport, divided over two primary areas, with a smaller facility for the domestic terminal. The main site is a dedicated multi-story car park, with spaces provided on seven levels. This is supported by what could be termed the secondary facility, using the bottom three floors of the airports main office car park for passengers as and when required.
Airport parking is normally designated short or long stay, though in Bangkok no such division is made, people parking wherever they wish. The price difference for cars parked at Bangkok is based not on whether they stay for several days or not but on how far away from the terminal they are combined with how much space they take up.
Getting around the airport and between the car parks and terminals is quite easy thanks to the free shuttle bus service provided. They link all the main buildings, car parks and terminals together, running from as early as 5am and finishing at approximately 11pm. Such a service is greatly appreciated here since walking around the different areas would be difficult due to the weather, which can be extremely hot and humid.
